Why would BRB just say "no"? That is just plain lazy. We kept him busy and he probably did't bother anyone else during that time.
Imagine for a moment that you are a hobo. You ask someone for gold and they waste your time. Now imagine this happens to you multiple times. You might think twice about asking for gold the next time.
While saying "no" is better than doing nothing, Sparkles and I prefer the hands on approach.

Personally I enjoy dropping like 100g in the trade window, but don't hit the trade button. Let them see it and time how long they will wait for you to hit trade. The longer they wait, the bigger the noob. :)

The first post is a shining example of what's wrong with mmorg's. Ignorant people. You want to do the noob a favor, tell him an exact area to grind for the gold, then say happy hunting, enjoy.
Whats wrong with simply telling them an exact area to go and grind for the gold, why the games.
Not cool, all you had to do is say what i would have said (" i will not give you gold, but if i have the time i can show you a great place to grind.") i have found people more happy to know where to grind, then handouts. Be cool, Be Polite, kind, and understanding in life, it will pay off some day.
